This year’s Shanghai Cooperation Summit (Aug 31-Sept 1) took place in Tianjin China to remarkable effect. Presidents Modi, Xi and Putin- representing the three founding nations behind the SCO stood together, and were joined by other world leaders representing nearly half the world population and 20% of world GDP, and together represented a new financial/security architecture premised on immutable principles outlined in the Tianjin Declaration.
