Russia Attacks Military Academy In Ukraine, Leaving 51 Dead, Over 270 Injured Tuesday witnessed one of the single deadliest attacks of the two-and-a-half-year Russia-Ukraine war. A Russian ballistic missile slammed into a military academy in the central Ukrainian city of Poltava, leaving more than 50 people dead and injuring scores of others. Ukraine officials said a neighboring hospital was also struck by a second missile.
