Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board: Coincidence or Fear?

Is the ‘Disinformation Board’ created by the Biden administration a sign of fear to free speech?

Several mainstream news outlets have reported today that the Biden administration will create a ‘Disinformation Governance Board’.

According to a Daily Mail report, these are the details:

The Department of Homeland Security established a new ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ to tackle misinformation in minority communities.

It will operate under the Biden-era Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) and provide grants to help curb radicalization in the US.

National Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas did not reveal the powers that would be granted, but said he would also target election disinformation.

Nina Jankowicz, a Russian disinformation expert, will head the new board.

Jankowicz has previously questioned the validity of Hunter Biden’s laptop, calling it “a product of the Trump campaign.”

She also told NPR last week that she ‘shudders to think about’ more free speech on social media platforms after Elon Musk bought Twitter.

In short, they are afraid that people will give their opinions freely, especially now that we have just a few months left until the midterm elections next November 2022, where it seems that a tremendous wave of votes (real, not from dead people) will show up and that would make it more difficult for them to cheat.

This ‘board’ that they just created reminds us of the ‘MInistry of Truth’ and the ‘Thought Police’ detailed in George Orwell’s 1984 novel, a secret group that discovered and punished ‘thought crime’, that is, personal and politicians thoughts not approved by the regime.

And on top of that they put a ‘Russian expert’ in disinformation, not to mention that the timing is really suspicious, now that Truth Social has already opened access to iPhone users in the US and that Elon Musk bought Twitter.

Coincidence or fear?🤔
